THE ART OF FORMULATING QUESTIONS

• Making a qualified question is the art to induce an appropriate answer according to the circumstances.

• Receiving an improper answer is most of the time a problem of formulating an unqualified question according to the circumstances.

• It is not what you ask, but how you ask: language and focus.

• Close questions induce close answers such as yes or no.

• Open questions induce open answers.

• Analytical questions induce an assessment of the situation by the recipient.
